How Do I Connect Old Home Theater Speakers with Stereo Wire

My dvd player broke but the speakers are still in great shape and I'd like to keep them. The speakers connected to the dvd player using speaker wire (5 speakers and subwoofer). Is there some type of adaptor I can purchase where I can keep all my speakers and plug it in to the new blue ray player? I saw these banana adaptors but that looks like it will only connect one speaker. I'd like to re-connect them all to the new blue ray player.

You will need a home theater receiver. A standard BluRay player only outputs weak signals. You need something to decode those and amplify them. That is what a home theater receiver will do.
