how do i duplicate one laptops screen to another laptop?

I have two laptops however ones screen is broken and i currently have it hooked up to my TV via HDMI cord, i'd like to hook it up to the second laptop instead. How do i do this?

You will need a screen sharing software like MaxiVista or something similar. You can't just connect to another laptop and start using. They aren't set up that way. Your other option is to just get a new or used moitor from craigslist or ebay. Or just buy a replacement laptop screen and install it. It's pretty easy and they are usually under $100 depending on your make and model.
