Solved! How do i fix the cap 30 fps on my acer nitro 5

I run fortnite at about 143-144 fps with my charger plugged in and when I unplug my charger my fps immediately drops to a constant 30 fps and won't change. Can somebody help me and tell me how to fix this?

It is to do with the power settings on your laptop ... under battery it is putting the cpu into low power mode.

It also might be the graphics settings as well ... if that laptop has an onvoard GPU as well as a discrete one. Under battery the system is defaulting to the onboard GPU instead of the discrete one.
