How do i hook up my Bose soundlink to my lg ledtv

I have a Bose soundlink mini speaker. I want to play my tv's volume through both the speaker and the tv. I bought red and white rca cables that go to an aux cord but I can't get the Bose to play. Any help would be much appreciated

Are you sure your TV has RCA audio outputs (and not inputs)? Most have optical audio outputs. You would need a DAC like this one

to connect your Bose.
When you have the mini plug connected to the Bose aux input the Aux indicator should light up.
