How do i hook up my smart tv to my stereo for audio?

I need some direction of someone would be so kind. Trying to use my stereo as audio for my Hisense smart tv to a Toshiba receiver. I tead I can use a YVable mini plug by rca? I bought this but cannot figure out where to plug into receiver. Tv plug audio out through headphone jack. Is there another way to do this? Not techy familiar but follow directions well. Thx for any help. Drivinge crazy for quite some time.

I'm having trouble finding information on those...

There should be a couple of extra inputs on the receiver. Connect the audio cable to the audio connections on one of those - ignore video. When you want to hear audio from the TV, select that input.
