How do i Hook a tv ,dvd, cd player and a dual tape deck to a sony receiver then out to a marantz receiver in to a equalizer. Then out to speakers

Solution

.

Normally, all your equipment should be connected to first then use line in and line out for equalizer if it doesn't have ext in/out. next is tape out is connected to second amp and enable rec on the first amp.

if your amp don't have those features then, take a clear pictures of your system front and back and the system model if we can check the manual.

Solution
If the Marantz receiver has a tape monitor input/output or a processor loop then you would not need the Sony receiver. Connect all you sources to the Marantz inputs and the EQ to the one of the above connections. Keep the tape monitor on so all the sources will go through the EQ. Processor loops are sometimes not switchable from the front panel so there might be a switch on the back or a jumper across the input/output jacks.

If you don't have these connections then you would connect your sources to the Sony receiver. Connect the tape record out of the Sony to the EQ input. Connect the EQ output to one of the Marantz inputs (any but phono). This way you are just using the Sony as an input selector and other Sony controls (volume etc) are not active.

You could substitute an audio input selector (or AV selector with analog audio) switch for the Sony.
