how do I move my pics and videos from my sd card to my computer

I put my sd card in the adaptor to place on computer.. It shows up, bit move if my pics are there top save to my computer.

Did you mean to say the SD card shows up but there are no pictures on it? Your camera may be saving your pictures and stuff on its own internal memory, can you hook just the camera (not the SD card) up to your computer with a USB cable? If you buy a camera it saves on its own storage by default, if you add an SD card later you would most likely have to go in to the camera settings and change the image/video save location to the SD card rather than internal storage.
