i'm going 1/8" out of my computer into a QSC pro amp and the inputs are 2 channels, each one with a + and a -. then there's an ohm symobl. When i split the RCA each one has a bare cable and shielded one. What do I connect to what to make this work safely in stereo?

Hello,

The "ohm" symbol accompanied by the"+" and "-" symbols indicates an output, not an input, so don't try to connect the PC there, you risk to blow the PC and the amplifier.

What model is your amplifier? It should have as inputs either XLR plugs or 1/4" jacks; your cables will look like this:

1/8" (3,5mm stereo) to dual XLR: http://www.amazon.com/Hosa-CYX-403M-Stereo-Breakout-Cable/dp/B000068OEP

1/8" (3,5mm stereo) to 1/4" (6,3mm dual) Jack: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Stagg-Audio-Cable-3-5mm-Stereo/dp/B003SOSUX4
