Solved! How do I remove a screw that spins in place in a laptop hinge?

One of the hinges on my laptop was broken and required fixing. Fixing it required replacing a normal screw with a bigger one.

I've opened the laptop lid a few times but now that screw just keeps spinning in place, making it impossible to remove the lid. The entire lid comes off besides the part that's keeping the hinge in place.

What can I do to remove it? I need to to replace a broken screen cable.

you can try by drilling into the screw
or using glue with a screw driver
or using tweezers
