Somehow my Virus Protection keeps getting turned off. How do I get it back and how do I prevent it from happening again?

There is usuall a "settings" tab in the software or a BIOS option.

It is possible that your laptop has been infected and the virus itself forces your anti-virus program to shut down / not launch.
