RTFM indeed. Alternatively, you can hit Function+F8 based on this picture.

or go to graphic card properties (control panel-display) and adjust it there but its easiest by what lotri said.

There should be keys on the laptop itself to adjust brightness, contrast etc.

If not then RTFM.
