How do you start gateway computer in safe mode..it is stuck in prepairing automatic repair loop

Please help desktop gateway computer stuck in preparing automatic repair loop...have no disks....how do I fix or start in safe mode

Pressing the Function 8 key as you power up should do it to any system before Windows 8. After that one, you might need an installation DVD.
