How much is it to get your laptop fixed

Hello,
when i plug my charger into my lap top it dosnt charge and my charger turns off soon as i plug it in i was just wondering how much this would cost to fix? From Lois Holt

It could be something as simple as the charger went bad... worst case scenario is something with the motherboard is shorting the psu...that will run around $200 just for the board

new batteries are expensive... if your laptop is a "cheap" one it probably is not worth it.
i would estimate 200 dollarsfr a new battery. (and if your laptop is not popular you might be SOL)

if you have an Apple laptop you would be in better shape because they have Apple standing behind their products.

BTW, system information is very useful in this case...
