Question How often do you purchase laptops?

Hey guys. I’m graduating from college soon and have used my Dell XPS 15 for 6+ hours daily for four years and have noticed the wear on it. There was significant battery drainage and I replaced the battery myself but have noticed lots of issues since then (trackpad and display). I understand my poor repair skills are mainly to blame but I also noticed a major slow down waaaaay before I even replaced the battery. Should I consider buying a new laptop after graduation or should I look into professional repairs?
