yes i am referring to the bios password, you see it is actually my mothers laptop and my dad bought it for her last christmas, but now they are on horrible terms and she has forgotten her password and since my dad bought it as a present for her it is all his info and refuses to help her out, so how can i bypass the bios password?

Remove the CMOS battery from the Motherboard(button cell) and put it back after half an hour and boot.
