How to connect a LG smart tv to an old Kenwood stero

I have a LG SMART TV & SOUND IS VERY POOR. I would like to connect TV to my old Kenwood receiver.

The quick and easy....TV should have either RCA out or 3.5 headphone jack. Just use and 3.5 to RCA cable or a regular RCA. The BEST (and most expensive) way would be if both TV and receiver have digital optical ports (looks like a strange hole with a flap and a red light inside) and use a optical cable.
