how to connect consoles to laptops

i have a new Snes classic console. i also dont own a tv. together i can play the games. this works fine, however i am about to go a holiday that involves long train rides where i dont have access to a tv/minitor. is there anyway to plug my Snes classic into my laptop.

note my laptop is a lenovo thinkpad that doesnt have an HDMI input connection

You can emulate the game in Windows but im unsure will your laptop capture the SNES.And if you would like to capture wouldn't that be too many cables? It's easier to setup on windows with 2 controllers and play a game, but if you would like from "original" console then you would need HDMI capture card, which can be $$$.

is there a way to use the interface and the simplness of the SNES on my laptop

like using emulators on my laptop isnt as nice as using the console
