Question How to connect Pioneer Vsx-90 to Elan Z-660 External Amp?

Is there a way, through a signal converter or otherwise, to connect an external amp to a VSX-90?

For what purpose? There is a Zone 2 pre out which means it's not amplified, you can connect a stereo amp to that I suppose, but that is only stereo and won't get you surround sound.
An HDMI auto extractor may work also, connect that to the system then run the analog outputs to the amp. No idea how well it will work though.
