hey guys i bought Lenovo Y5070 notebook and its native resolution is 4K which means too much resolution for GTX 960M . now , when i turn the desktop resolution down to 1366x768 things fit right but don't look sharp

how can i make 1360x768 or 1366x768 my native resolution properly ? thanks :D

yeah 4K is too much resolution for 960m in games and its already too much for high end desktop graphics . I was thinking the same but i have some confusions about it . when i turn 4K down to FHD or 1360x768 everything gets little blury and unclear on desktop . now wont the same thing happen in games ??

by the way . if desktop is on 4K and the Game is on 1360x768 then will the game run as fast as if it were on a 1360x768 desktop and game resolution set to 1360x768 ?

simpler version : 4K ( Desktop ) + 1360x768 ( Game ) VS 1360x768 ( Both Game and Desktop ) . which one is faster perofrmance wise ? are they the same thing ?

Ah you got one of these.

I guess they do make 4K laptops. It's going to be terrible for gaming though. As you can see turning down the resolution isn't going to look very good.

try down sampling 1080P while gaming to 1366. It might help. I can't actually give a solid piece of advice, it kinda sounds like that laptop is a consumer trap, it will likely play movies at 4k or give 5 fps on high settings, try low settings in most games @ 4k. Work them back up to maintain a 30-40 fps. Easy on the shadows and aa for better performance. It may not look the greatest but anything is better than blurr

Can i replace the panel with FHD one or even HD one ? this might sound crazy but i LOVE HD panels . they are the most rational option for a laptop

mine is 4K but non touch . actually its UHD
