How to damage your headphone speakers?

I was messing around with EqualizerAPO, and basically I maxed everything out. I played like 30s of music and there was heavy distortion and clipping, etc. I turned down the volume though. Would that have damaged my headphones?

do you have a headphone amp? if not, i don't think your headphones are damaged, but the only way to know is to test them.

can you damage headphones with extremely loud volume? yes. generally this is much louder than your ears can take before you start doing ear damage though.

if you damaged them you would likely hear it.
