Hi,
I have a bunch of old laptops with high res screens and want to know if it is possible to detach them from the laptop and use them as desktop monitors (Possibly through an adapter). Anyone who can help or can find a tutorial would be much appreciated. Thanks

This is a guide, the first steps are just how to remove the screen, http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Convert-a-Laptop-LCD-into-an-External-Monit/step7/Buying-the-LCD-controller-board/

You need a controller and an output, poke around and you may find something. Really a used regular monitor will be as cheap and much easier, but if you want to fiddle with your screen and are not worried much about breaking it, go for it.
