Solved! How to disable laptop screen

Hey my laptop has a hdmi port and when i hooked it up to my tv, it shows on both screen. How can i disable the laptop one? also how can i change the res? I tried but max was 1366x 768. ( the tv is 1080p) its a hp dv6 with a hd 6770

You change the resolution of the external display via CCC. You can turn of the screen by pressing a combination of keys on the keyboard. For me its Fn+F7, you probably have different keys, but look for it on your keyboard and you will find out.
