Hi

Is there an easy and simple way to donwload flash audio files from NHK?
http://www3.nhk.or.jp/news/easy/k10010328701000/k10010328701000.html

Since I am learning Japanese and I read/listen to NHK News Web Easy I also would like to download their audio files included with each articles so I can work offline.

I tried to right click and/or I swiched browsers but nothing changed, I still can't download anything. Why is that?

Any idea on how to?

Thanks

G

I've researched this for you and it turns out there is in fact very easy way: just change the .html ending of any article's URL to .mp3 and you'll get the mp3 audio file used in that article. This works because they keep the same path & naming scheme for articles and their corresponding audio.

So for example for article: http://www3.nhk.or.jp/news/easy/k10010328701000/k10010328701000.html
Edit URL to: http://www3.nhk.or.jp/news/easy/k10010328701000/k10010328701000.mp3

You can then save that MP3 with "Save Page As..." command in your web browser.

Hi Amigafan,

Wouah! Two big thanks to you, first for taking the time to look into something that is important to me and second for finding the solution that is duly working.

For others who might be interested in the same kind of thread, the "save as" option won't work on Internet Explorer but it does on Mozilla. Haven't tried other browsers.

I am happy now because I can compile a whole audio library now!

Have a great day!
