Solved! How to fix a laptop that restarts by touching any key

My chrome laptop restarts on its own, whether I press the power button or not . Sometimes I click on the y key and it goes off while I'm typing

Sounds like it needs a new motherboard or at least to have the connections checked and re-seated. If it has removable RAM can try different RAM also.
