how to fix bootmgr missing

i got a reurb hp laptop and it has error of bootmgr missing what does this mean and how do i fix

Hi,

First check in BIOS if your HDD is being detected because if it's not you may need to reseat or check the physical connection of the HDD. If it's being detected by your laptop you'll need to run System Recovery with your laptop using your recovery disc supplied with your laptop or you'll need to order one from them.
