How To Fix Google Assistant Voice Issues

For all Android users, the Google Assistant is an extremely useful tool. It can do many things just by giving it proper commands, via text or voice. Undoubtedly, using voice commands is faster and easier (cooler too), but sometimes there are issues with this type of commands.

For some reason, your Google Assistant doesn’t recognize the activation phrase “Hey, Google” or maybe it doesn’t recognize your voice. Whatever the issue, there are a few fixes that help, so here are some things you can do if you encounter any of the similar issues.

■ First things first, make sure your Google Assistant has all the required permissions. Open Settings on your phone.





■ Tap on Apps or Application manager.





■ In the list of apps, find and tap on Google app.





■ Next, tap on Permissions.





■ In here, select all and you’re done(You can deselect the excess permissions later).





■ Now, check if your Google Assistant is turned and if “Ok Google” command activated. Open the Google app






■ Tap on the menu icon (three vertical lines).





■ Tap on Settings.





■ Again, press on Settings, under the Google Assistant options.





■ Under devices, press on your device Phone (in my case).





■ In here make sure that Google Assistant is turned on, as well as Access with Voice Match.





■ While you’re still in this menu, you can also try this. Tap on Voice model.





■ Press on Delete voice model and press Ok to confirm.





■ After you do that, tap on Retrain voice model and go through the steps, so you can again use Google Assistant properly.
