how to get my Acer laptop to type letters and not numbers

When I type the letter I on my Acer laptop it types the num 5 instead

Hold in the Fn (function) button, usually in the lower left, and push the NumLk key (usually F11 on Acers, I believe). If you need more help give me a model number and I can be more specific.

OH MY GAWD..... I LOVE YOU... I HAD GIVEN UP ALL HOPE FOR MY Acer keyboard... when i saw this... in 2 seconds (2 keys -fn and numlk) it was solved... i love you i love you i love you
