Solved! How to hook up Bose. Tv speaker to Sharp Aquos LC-42D64U

I’m trying to hook up a new Bose tv speaker to my Aquos tv. I used an optical cable and no sound. Used a ARC converter cable. No sound. Called Bose and Sharp. Both useless. Help me please!!!

I believe somewhere in your TV's SETTINGS is a section for switching audio source. You have to tell the tv what to look for. Same thing happened to me on my Samsung, until I found where to switch that over. (Also, I know it might be a DUH but make sure you don't have your remote on MUTE. I did that one, too!)

In addition to turning the optical audio output or HDMI-ARC on you may also have to turn the TV speakers off and change the audio output type, All in the TV audio menu.
