how to install an os

i have bought an new laptop and I don't know how to install the os

Put OS disc in the disc reader (or plug in your installation flash drive if you use one of those), go into the boot menu as it's starting up (just spam F11 as soon as it's on), select the CD-ROM/Flash drive, and you're in the installation.

Wouldn't be surprised. There's many brand laptops sold with Free DOS or something on them.

True. But why would you if you don't know how to install the OS?
Like buying a car without an engine, and not knowing how to put one in.

Good point. Although many laptops have weird ways to access BIOS and such. When I got a Lenovo Z70-80 with Free DOS on it, it took me at least 30 minutes to figure out how you actually access the boot menu.
