How to make my laptop great again

Hello
Two months ago I brought a good laptop and it was working fine and then some malware got in and slowed it down so I was able to remove the malware but my laptop is still slow
Can anybody help me out?

Reinstall or restore (if you backed) the Operating System, when infected it is the best move unless you have files you can't lost.
