Transfer files between internal storage & SD card

To transfer files between internal storage & SD card, follow these steps:

NOTE: Before starting, the SD Card will have to be in the device to be able to transfer from the card to the device. The card will also have to be formatted for the device. So if it has never been, you would want to move the files to a computer first, then format the card in the device. Add the files back to the card, then you can transfer them to the device.


Were you to format the SD card without saving your files off it first, then you would lose all your files.


To transfer files from and SD card to your devices internal storage, please do the following...


From your home screen, tap "Apps", then "My Files".

Now tap "All files" and then "extSdCard" to enter your device's external SD card.

Next navigate to the files or folders you want. To to the left of each file or folder you wish to move, tap the "check box" to select that item.

Now tap the "Menu" icon at top-right of the screen, and then tap "Move".

You can also choose to tap "Copy" if you want to duplicate the files (have copies on both the SD Card and the device).

Next tap "sdcard0" to enter your device's internal memory.

When you have reached the location where you want to move the files, tap "Move here".

If you are copying the file rather than moving it, tap "Paste here".
