As above, I'm trying to replace my broken screen but need back access. How do I open it?

Those are both for the glass-backed model. Mine has a full aluminium shell with plastic ends. I was hoping it would be similar to the 6.1, where the screen connector is under the digitiser at the front, but it isn't. I need to get the inner frame out of the aluminium shell to access the rear / battery area but I can't find any guides or teardowns online for this model.

OH I see. I don't know that particular model well. They change so much for each version. This shows a tear down for what I believe is the verson you are referring to (not glass back), but alas it doesn't seem to address the display itself.

Anyone else out there have any info on it?

Yeah that video is still a "glass" back (I don't know if it is glass!) - but you can see the back panel being removed with a heat gun. You can't do that on my model - its a single solid piece of aluminium. I have removed the old broken screen and can see that the main 'carriage' for the inner part of the phone looks like it is press-fit into the AL shell - but I don't really want to try and lever it out without knowing what I'm doing.

I do totally understand. They are to easily damaged if you do something incorrectly.

Perhaps someone else on here will see the thread and have more answers.

I asked on the Nokia community...my problem being it's actually a 5.1! - and you can just lever the innards out (carefully of course!)
