How to Play Minecraft with the Oculus Rift

You will need to follow couple of steps so you can play Minecraft with your Oculus Rift. The process is very simple. This tutorial will provide all the necessary information for you. So you can successfully complete the process follow this steps:

Step 1. You will need to install the 1.8.1 Vanilla version of Minecraft.

  ■ So you can complete the installation process first launch the Minecraft launcher.
  ■The next thing is to select edit profile down in the left corner.
  ■In the tab – use version – select release 1.8.1 and then save profile.
  ■Choose Play and then you will leave the game.

Step 2. Install Minecraft 1.8.1 mod.

  ■First download Minecraft mode.
  ■Install Minecraft.

Step 3. Install the MSVC++ 2010 redistributables.

• 
  ■Start the download. This program will allow you to play the game correctly.
  ■You can make the choice between vcredist_x86.exe and vcredist_x64.exe.

Step 4. Make the configuration for Minecraft and Oculus Rift

  For Minecraft
  ■Start the Minecraft Launcher > edit profile > in use version tab choose Minecraft 1.8.1 PRE2 > save profile.

■For Oculus Rift

  ■Adjust the Oculus Rift to extended mode and rotate it to landscape
  ■Check do you have the appropriate Oculus Rift drivers. IF you meet some firmware errors than just go to 0.4.4 version.
  ■Set Oculus Rift as your primary monitor > click the start button so you can move the Minecraft window to your Oculus Rift > Select Play > Press F11
