How To Purchase a Paid Antivirus

There are conflicting opinions on the web as to which is best. Avast Pro Antivirus is now $9.99 but one reviewer places it at 7th. place. Other Antivirus cost 3 times as much.

How do you determine what's "best"? Every reviewer has their own description of what really is best. I don't know that you'll find the best because it will probably change next week, or next month as antivirus companies are all trying to be the "best".

I liked avast, it was light and didn't interfere too much, but grey matter is a useful additional tool.

great chart to look at that ive see the mods saying to look at. notice that you should stay away from Microsoft (which is still better then nothing). not every program will stop every virus. but as you see 3/4 of the brands are all fine. also consider the that some come with firewalls and other tools, bells, and whistles. good luck

The paid version? I've never had virus issues so never would consider buying antivirus since there are several online opinions that said paid versions do not perform better than free and that you are just buying it for other features. I'm only considering it because it's $9.99. But I still see that is a waste of money if the free version does the same job equally at protecting the computer from virus.
