How to Put PDFs on a Nook e-Reader

Some tablets don’t offer the option to transfer PDFs from a computer or other source onto the tablet, but the Nook e-Reader comes with this feature. You don’t need to be limited to the books you purchase through the Nook; you can transfer PDFs from your computer onto your tablet.

Step 1: From your computer, locate the PDF you wish to either transfer or share with your e-reader. You can do this through Finder if you have a Mac or with a file browser on PC.

Step 2: With a USB cable, connect your Nook to your computer. You will then see your Nook appear in the file browser or Finder.

Step 3: Click on where it says Nook in your file browser and click “my documents.”

Step 4: After you have successfully located the “my documents” folder, drag and drop your desired PDF into that folder.

Step 5: You will then be able to find your new PDF document on your Nook. You may need to check for new content on your e-Reader before it appears.

Recap: Being able to share documents between your computer and your nook allows you to read files on the go, which is much more convenient than having to sit at a desktop to read. Whether you use a Mac or a PC, you will be able to transfer readable files to your Nook.
