Tumblr gives its users the option to reblog or repost content that other bloggers have published. This adds a new dimension to your Tumblr. By reblogging or reposting content, you will enhance your blog with new content and new points of view. Tumblr makes it easy for you to reblog another user’s posts while giving them attribution.
Step 1: Navigate to your dashboard or another blog. When you have found content you want to reblog, you can select the double arrow icon on the top right of the current page.
Step 2: A dialogue box will appear where you can add text, hyperlinks, photos, etc. You can add your own caption or text and then choose to share on Twitter by highlighting the bird icon at the bottom.
Step 3: When you're ready to reblog your selection, click the “Reblog” button on the bottom left. You have several options when reblogging regarding privacy, commentary, and when to reblog.
If you're on a desktop or laptop computer, you can quickly reblog something by pressing “Option” + “R” or “Option” + “C” to create a new post. If your device doesn't have an Option key, try the “ALT” key. You even have the option to reblog content from your own posts. You do not need to follow a user to reblog their content. Instead of reblogging content, you can choose to “like” it instead. This way you will not share it, but can still archive the content in your account history.
