Question how to remove that down arrow on the tab bar at the left side

today i started this pc and i had it go thru a bunce of setups. anyway i lost all of me saved tabs and ony got back what i had saved in the chrome setting for what to open. so i did a bunch of thing's and even went onto chrome setting using that chrome/flags/ in a new tab but that arrow is still there. it seems to be some type of what tabs i have on that tabs bar. but i can see what tabs i have. so how do i get rid of this. i got the tabs back i had pinned but i have no idea how that arrow got there it i snot on the other 3 pcs i have chrome on only this one.
