How to Request a Ride in Uber

Using Uber, you can request a ride from private car owners who provide such services near your location. One of the best thing about Uber is it enables you to track the ride you requested in real time. If you are new to the app and don't know how to do this, here's a step-by-step guide to request a ride in Uber:

1. First, launch Uber on your mobile phone and log in to your account. The screen will automatically show you a map of your exact location via GPS. To confirm where you want the car to pick you up, tap "Set Pickup Location."

2. You can also check the charges by tapping "Set Pickup Location" twice. When there are fewer vehicles around or more demand, Uber may place "surge pricing" on your ride, which can make it more expensive. If you're ok with that, tap "I Accept Higher Fare."

3. After confirming your location, you can choose the car type you want by using the slider found at the bottom of the app. The choices include Uber Black - an black car, or Uber X - the cheapest option.

4. Once you choose the car type, your credit card number will be displayed. You can either use it or change it by tapping "Change" beside it. If you're not making any changes, tap "Request for a Black Car." Once you do this, you can track where your car is and monitor how many minutes it will arrive at your pickup location.
