How to set up sound in window7

Hello,
Iam using window7 home premium.Now have some problem in sound.When I make voice call I can listen voice but doesnot be out voice or cannot listen that side I think problem in sound setting so how to solve the problem?

what software do you use to make voice calls?
since you can hear voice i don't think you have a problem with your sound.

what does this part mean? the person you're calling can't hear you?
if so, then the problem may be with microphone you're using. open your voice call making software's audio options and check for micrphone status.
you can also check windows sound status: click start button > type microphone in the search window > click set up a microphone or click find and fix audio recording problems.
another way is to right click on the volume icon on your taskbar's notification area(the part with the clock) > click recording devices > see if the microphone is enabled.
or may be the other side has hearing issues. who knows?
