Well if they've done it before they probably had reasonable cause and got a court order (although depending on location) and then were able to do so. I suppose as long as your not doing anything illegal then you should have no issues if they currently are.

Any semi-competent "tapping" is invisible to you, the user.
They just need to go to your carrier with a warrant, and get a log of all your calls. You'd never know.


Solution?
Turn your phone OFF and don't use it again.
Bingo...no tapping possible.
