how to transfer files from nextbook tablet to hp laptop?

The screen is broken on nextbook. I need to know how to transfer files and photos to hp laptop. Laptop is touchscreen.

Connect the tablet to the computer with a USB lead and the data should show up in Windows Explorer (My Computer) as folders. Photos might be in a folder named DCIM>Camera. Copy everything over to the laptop in case you miss anything you need later.
