How to trouble shoot a laptop that does not boot and nothing on the screen

My laptop is not booting and shows nothing on screen, what could be the possible steps I should do to make it work properly again? Please help

Is it turning on at all, any error beeps, error blink patters on the status lights? Brand/Model of laptop, did anything happen before the issue started? If it's not turning on at all, that can be a charger issue or motherboard issue as the most likely things. Unplug system, remove main battery, open it and remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard if there is one. Hold in the power button for about 30 seconds, without plugging the batteries back in, see if it turns on on wall power. Also can remove the RAM and hard disk, if the system does not give you any error beeps, that is a sign the motherboard is bad.
