how to turn my old phone on

Hi, i used to use an old htc desire526 but i lost it and got a new phone. HOWEVER, ive recently found the phone in question in the couch, it charges just fine with any charger and the screen shows it charges but it doesnt or wont turn on, ive tried the 3 provided methods to try and turn it on but no dice, if there is any way you can help, please do.

Try removing the battery for about 15 seconds, plug it back in, see if it turns on after that.

Try to perform a hard reset, you’ll need to hold both Volume Up and Volume Down along with the power button until the screen turns on.
