Hard drive crashes, so I put it in a different computer as a secondary drive but I can't access the data on it even though the drive is recognized by the new system (both computers run Win 7.) Error message was asking for admin password.

Solution
Right-click the drive and choose "Properties".
Click the "Security" tab.
Click "Edit".
At the top, highlight the user account you are currently logged on to.
In the lower panel, tick the "Allow" box for each permission that you require for the drive.
