how to unlock DVD region

Dear all

I've got a Dell notebook with DVD drive but set to region 1.

How to unlock it so that I can watch other region?

I already installed Power DVD 2.55 and it says wrong region bla bla bla

🙁 help , anyone knows how to destroy the Eprom safely?

I think you first have to know if the protection is Hardware
or software based!
If its hardware there´s not much you can do but open the drive and (I´m not sure about this!) installing a microchip that will bypass the protection!
If its software based you can get a crack for your DVD
viewer (Easyer) or removing and re-installing the software
again and again !

There is a program that lets you freely change the dvd region to whatever you want. Its called DVD Genie.
Go download, install, and give it a try.

i want to unlock it, just install this program from Google and then enable any region you want (remselec22.exe)

For laptop you could just use VideoLan software as default, it allows to play DVDs without checking the region code...
