How to Upgrade a Mac to the Latest Version of OS X

Most people want to be up to date with their operating systems on their Macs, and Mac users already know about the latest version, which is OS X Yosemite. Upgrading to OS X Yosemite is a fairly easy process, depending on which version of OS X is currently installed on the Mac. 4. Mavericks (OS X 10.9) – If your Mac is running OS X Mavericks, no checking will be needed as it is capable of running OS X Yosemite. Perform a backup of your Mac. Go to the App Store and find OS X Yosemite. Double-click to begin installation.
