My Philips HTS6500 home theater stopped working with "No Disc". With my surgical skills, I was able to open it, but now it is in the electronic graveyard. I need your help in suggesting how can I continue to use these nice Philips CS6500E Sonowave Home Theater System Speakers? Is there an adapter that will make it work with another Stereo Receiver? or another home theater machine that can use these speakers? Thank You.

Solution
You could use one of these to drive all three speakers no receiver needed.

You can use the satellite speakers with any stereo system. To use the woofer too you will need a sub amp with speaker level inputs like this one

HTS systems rarely have the amp for the sub in the speaker cabinet so when you want to use it with standard AV receivers you alway need an amp to drive it.
