HP 14-bw12nr. Any way to upgrade?

This has the 32eMMC and Windows 10 updates can't load for lack of space. Is there a way to put Windows on a flash drive or external drive to resolve this? Based on what i've read, this can't be upgraded internally. It was purchased so my wife could access internet, she does nothing else on it. Boat anchor or are there possibilities?

About the only things you can upgrade are ram(up to 32GB) and HDD (or maybe SSD).

Look like there space for 2.5" ssd, and ram upgrade
