I want to check that the laptop charger is working and the terminal voltage on the battery pack, so need the pinout diagram (8 pins).

why? does the charge light turn on when using the power adapter?

hp diagnostics advises "no battery detected" and I can only run with the power adapter.

When switched on, the pc power light blinks 3 times and extinguishes... so rather than buy a new batt, thought to check the charge state and the pc charge cct output, if present.
