HP Brick 65w 3.5A can I use 120 w 6.5A?

G'day,
The cord on my 65 watt brick broke at the exit to the HP laptop. I have the same 18.5 voltage brick from another computer but it is 120 W and twice the amperage. Can the HP computer take the higher current? I have an adapter plug to go between the to to match pin size, but realize
it won't change the current. Am I safe to use???

You may use a 1200W brick if you wish. It won't change the computer's current draw. But aside from the voltage check also the polarity of the plug.
